From April to August 2003 I worked for P&O on the English channel ferries. It was a pretty cool job, staff had to live on the boat for up to two weeks at a time, and I got some good photos out of it. I mostly worked on the 'Pride of Portsmouth', which did the Portsmouth/LeHarve run, three times a day. The ship was absolutely huge. In size, it is bigger than anything in the Royal Navy (including their aircraft carriers). It can carry up to 1600 passengers, and has 411 cabins.

1 This is the menu in a take-away shop in Edinburgh. Note the black pudding and white pudding, the deep fried pizza, and of course Haggis.
2 The English love their soccer... When I worked for the Fire Brigade I spent every lunchtime walking around the local park. Every day the local teams would be practicing their football, come rain, hail, or...snow. When I took these photos it was so cold I was wearing a jumper, thick coat, scarf, gloves and beanie (and I was still cold). Note most the players are wearing their footy shorts.
3 There is an old law that says that all the swans in England belong to the Queen. Not sure what she plans to do with them, though.
4 When I worked at the Fire Brigade I walked past the Houses of Parliament and the Parliament clock tower (which houses the Big Ben) every day.
